Engine mount for golf cart is nothing but a subassembly for the cart which is engine driven. Initially, the carts were electrically powered. The electrical batteries are of high expense and they require extra care for maintenance and repair because of the presence of acid materials. Because of the heavy weight of batteries, the energy efficiency is less. So the need for golf carts with internal combustion engine arose. The engine mount of golf cart generally has a triangular engine fixed on a sub-frame and the front engine is fixed at the tip of the triangle. Thus it allow the axles at back to rotate corresponding to the cart body and hence the cart travels over rough areas without the inclination of the cart body. An elastic grommet rests on the cart frame permitting the engine frame to move freely. The engine mounted on the rear end is connected to the cart frame with the help of springs fixed on the rear axles extends partly so as to lessen the center of gravity. A smooth ride is ensured with less wheel impact to the cart frame even if the cart has to move over rough areas of golf courses. A four stroke engine with a low pace reverse gear provides safety for the cart.
