| Golf Cart Replacement Batteries
Replacing a golf cart battery is not at all difficult. The Golf Carts are designed in such a way that the installation or the replacement of the batteries can be carried out easily, provided one follows the guidelines given by the manufacturer. When
you go to change a battery pack having 50 or more cycles, do not change one with the new one. You change the whole pack either with the new one or with used batteries of good quality. You will need the following for a battery change.
- An adjustable wrench
- Distilled water and baking soda
- Acid-proof gloves and goggles.
Look under the front-end side of the cart for battery compartment. Usually there will be a set of six batteries. First, the negative cable terminal is to be disconnected and then the positive terminal. Clean the compartment and dry it. Arrange the new battery in the same place of the old one; join the positive cable to the positive terminal and the negative cable to the negative end. Apply some petroleum jelly on the terminals to prevent corrosion.
