In the recent years, the Golf cart manufacturing companies in U.S. are facing tough competition from the Asian manufacturers, especially those from China and India. Their good engineering skills and large workforce helped them to creep into the U.S. markets with cheaper golf carts.
The Golf cart market, which was once concentrated only in the U.S. and the European countries, have now expanded to developing countries in Asia and Africa. The growing exporting and manufacturing companies in Asia are hurriedly capturing these markets.
However, the top three companies- Yamaha, E-Z-GO, and Club Car- are still holding the majority of market with their good quality and customer care facilities. With the brand name and the vast advertising capital in hand, they can play the big brother role in the coming years too. Even so, it will be quite difficult for them to get into the low-income community markets, in developing countries, with their relatively high prices.
